Bill is a master craftsman, we ordered a custom colonial Windsor chair with a few modifications. He used all the original techniques and the wood is solid, one solid piece seat hand carved. It looks like it belongs in a museum.I would give Bill 10 stars 5 is not enough to describe how gorgeous this chair came out. The design is so perfect it will take you back to colonial Williamsburg. The finish is perfect old world antique black. I highly recommend Bill and will buy again.

Bill made our comb back custom rocking chair to our specifications to perfection. The quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding. The stain quality too is impressive. Bill was very punctual and polite throughout the process and kept us updated with pictures and messages. Highly recommend Bill for custom heirloom furniture.

Windsor Chairmaker

A local tree trimming company gives me a constant supply of high quality logs, he would burn them otherwise. These logs – oak, hickory, ash, maple and walnut – are then split to size using wedges and a sledge hammer. This technique, as opposed to sawing, ensures straight wood fibers providing uncompromising strength. Seats for traditional styles are carved from of eastern white pine or tulip poplar while butternut, walnut or tulip poplar are used for contemporary designs.
